Week 3 Sun Belt Power Rankings

Nine out of 14 teams in the Sun Belt Conference are 1-1 through two weeks, adding even more confusion to an already chaotic conference. Here are all 14 teams ranked through two weeks based on how it has gone so far.

The reigning champs still sit at the top. Even with quarterback JC Evans missing a few weeks with injury, the Dukes put 87 points on the board against Wagner.

The Mountaineers moved up to second after getting the Sun Belt’s best win so far, a road victory over in-state rival ECU, and they did it in convincing fashion, even though the score may not reflect how the game went. App State has another in-state opponent this week in UNC-Charlotte.

It has been an adventure for Troy, but 2-0 is still 2-0, and the reigning West Division champions won’t move down much without a loss on their schedule.

Quarterback Deuce Bailey has been the best player in the conference through two games, and the Chanticleers have done nothing but impress to start the season. Up next is an early afternoon showdown with Delaware, who won’t make it easy for them to get to 3-0.

The Panthers are 2-0, and are first in the Sun Belt in total yards, skyrocketing up the rankings after starting the season at the bottom.

The Bulldogs put up a great effort vs. LSU last week before the talent gap took over. They picked Sam Leavitt off 3 times in the loss.

The Eagles made Clemson work for a win, but the Georgia Southern offense still struggled.

Marshall still has a lot of season to turn it around, but it hasn’t worked out so well to start. The Thundering Herd are lucky to be 1-1 after escaping with a win over Middle Tennessee State in comeback fashion.
