
Our weekly coverage of Ohio State Athletics is back for yet another week! OSU’s Fall Sports are in full swing, with plenty of action all-around this past week. Catch up on it all here!
Athlete of the Week: Amanda Schlueter (Women’s Soccer)
Men’s and Women’s Golf
Both teams competed in the Folds of Honor Collegiate on Monday-Wednesday. The men’s team finished sixth out of 15 teams, with Vaughn Harber finishing tied for fourth overall in the event.
The women’s team finished sixth out of 12 teams, with Sophie Eppelstun finishing tied for third in the event.
The men’s team kicked off the Inverness Invitational on Sunday and will play through Tuesday. Results will be posted in next week’s article.
The women’s team has two individual entries in the Rocket Classic. They played 36 holes on Monday and finish up with 18 later today. Results will be posted in next week’s update.
Men’s Soccer
The #3 ranked Buckeyes continued to roll this week, beating Kentucky 4-1 on Tuesday.
Goals: Nyle Waugh (14′), Martin Wurschmidt (19′), Martin McLaughlin (76′), Josue Youta (82′)
Assists: Andre Roberts (14′), Jack Wayne (19′), Josue Youta and Ryan Hannosh (76′), Ryan Hannos (82′)
On Friday, the Buckeyes traveled to Madison to face the #8 ranked Wisconsin Badgers. They drew 1-1. OSU took the lead in the 85th minute, but Wisconsin was able to respond before the final whistle.

They remain unbeaten on the season and are now 5-0-1 on the season.
This week, OSU hosts Rutgers on Friday for their lone game.
Women’s Soccer
The #6 ranked Buckeyes played two games this week, starting with hosting Penn State and winning 1-0 on Thursday.

They traveled to Bloomington for a match-up with the Indiana Hoosiers on Sunday, picking up a 3-0 win.

The women’s team is now 6-0-1 on the year.
This week, the Buckeyes travel out west to face UCLA on Thursday.
Cross Country
Both the men’s and women’s programs ran at the Spartan Invitational this past Friday, with the men finishing third and the women at sixth. The men’s top runner was Jack Agnew (24:57.2) in the 8K and the women’s was Audrey DeSantis (21:45.9) in the 6K.
Field Hockey
The Buckeyes went 2-0 this week, starting off on Friday at home against Delaware. They won 4-3, with the end result coming down to shootout. The Buckeyes won the shootout 3-2.

Assists: Phillipa Jowett (30′), Laila Hollis (50′)
They hosted Cornell on Sunday, winning 2-0.

The squad is now 4-2 on the year.
This week, they host Boston College on Sunday.
Women’s Volleyball
The Buckeyes hosted the Sports Imports Classic this weekend, facing off with three teams.
On Friday, they took down Winthrop 3-2 (20-25, 23-25, 25-23, 26-24, 15-12).
Saturday, they took down Southern Indiana 3-1 (22-25, 25-17, 25-18, 25-20).
To cap off a perfect tourney, they beat Youngstown State 3-2 (23-25, 25-18, 21-25, 25-21, 15-10) on Sunday.
This week, they travel to Virginia and play the Cavaliers on Friday and Saturday.
Football
The Buckeyes traveled down to Austin to play the Texas Longhorns on Saturday, losing 24-23. This was a heartbreaking collapse, read our game recap here:
This week, the Buckeyes host Kent State at home on Saturday.
