Opening day of the College Basketball season is in the books, and what a day it was. It all started with the Field of 68 24-hour marathon. That event showed the country that High Point, Queens, Murray State, and McNeese State will be excellent mid-majors this year. All of those teams are good enough to beat a power conference school.
The power conference games had some crazy results. East Texas A&M beat Oklahoma. Florida looked the part and dismantled Miami. Penny Hardaway and the Memphis Tigers upset the Iowa State Cyclones at the Sanford Pentagon. Gonzaga beat Purdue in Vegas in a close game. Finally, UCLA is a problem, as they beat a top-5 Arizona in Vegas to close it out.
Let’s not forget Sunday’s games, which saw the first upset of the season when Notre Dame staged a huge late comeback to beat Villanova in Rome. Over the first two days, the moneyline pick record was 98-22. The picks for Day 3, November 3rd, 2026, are below.

Tuesday’s slate is lighter, but it still has some intriguing games. Head Coach Will Wade and his LSU Tigers take on LSU New Orleans. The game will probably be lopsided, but it will be interesting to see how the Tigers look with all the roster limbo they’ve been in all season. Luke Murray makes his debut for Boston College. Many people think Boston College will be one of the most improved teams in the country. Enjoy the hoops.
