It’s been a busy two weeks in Highland Heights! After a week off from our writers, let’s get caught up!

Basketball:
NKU will have its annual Hoops & Scoops event Tuesday at 6:00 p.m.! It’s a great opportunity to come in and see the Norse team for the first time this year.
NKU announced a HOME exhibition on Oct. 14 at 5:30 p.m. against the University of Tennessee at Martin.
Women’s Volleyball:
The women’s volleyball team continued their season on 9/25 by taking down Milwaukee 3 sets to 1 behind 15 kills and 5 blocks from Senior Ivey Stocks. The win marked 5 wins in their last 6 games. The next day, they swept the Panthers 3-0 behind a 10 kill, 2 ace, 4 block performance from Senior Ava Hoying. This marked 6 wins in their last 7, and got the Norse back above .500 on the year.
Friday, the Norse traveled to Cleveland State where they beat the Vikings 3-1 behind strong performances from Hoying and Senior Sydney Bray. Saturday, they replicated that result, this time against Oakland. This victory was the one that put Head Coach Liz Hart as the winningest coach in NKU volleyball history with 287. Hoying, Stocks and Bray led the way for the Norse.
The Volleyball team is now 9-6 and 4-0 in the Horizon and will be on the road Friday and Saturday.
Men’s Soccer:
The Men’s soccer team lost to Dayton on Sept. 22 3-0. They then hosted Bowling Green Tuesday where they fell 2-1. After taking a halftime lead thanks to freshman winger Carlos Merce’s 6th minute goal, BGSU netted two (73′, 79′) to take the game. Saturday, they fell 3-0 at Northern Illinois to fall to 1-8-1 on the year.
They host Wright State on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. before traveling to Cleveland State Saturday for a 7:00 p.m. kickoff.
Women’s Soccer:
The women’s soccer team defeated Northern Illinois 1-0 in DeKalb, Illinois Sept. 24. Senior Megan Molner netted the lone goal of the game to power the Norse.
Sept. 27, the Norse traveled to Indianapolis where junior Ayla Conn and fellow junior Riley Evans both scored, however, the Norse fell 3-2 to the Jaguars.
Thursday, the Norse hosted Milwaukee and fell 3-1. Molner found the back of the net in the 57th minute before Milwaukee scored twice in the closing 30 minutes to control the result.
Sunday, the Norse drew with Green Bay 1-1 Evans was the goal scorer in this contest.
The Norse will be back in action Saturday at Robert Morris. Kickoff is slated for 4:00 p.m.
