
Victory Parkway continued to thrive this past week, with numerous teams in action all-around. This edition brings basketball into the mix. However, let’s start with Women’s Soccer!
Athletes of the Week: AJ Adams & Isabel Brozena (Golf)
Women’s Soccer
The Musketeers hosted DePaul Wednesday, drawing 1-1.
Goals: Regan Dancer (71′)
Assists: Kieran Bradley (71′)
Saturday, they hosted Seton Hall, winning 2-0.
Goals: McKinley Berry (37′), Frances Reuland (59′)
Assists: Breanna Dardano and Reese Sochacki (37′)
The team is now 8-2-1 on the year. Looking ahead to this week, they travel to Villanova Wednesday and host UConn Saturday.
Men’s Golf
Xavier competed at The Indy at Forest Hills on Friday, which is a one-day, individuals only, 36-hole event. AJ Adams won the event for the Musketeers with a score of 131 (-9). Kyle Smith finished second with a score of 136 (-4). Xavier was the only school with golfers under par at the tournament.
This week, Xavier competes at the Cullan Brown Collegiate Monday and Tuesday.
Swimming
Friday, both the men’s and women’s teams competed against Louisville. Both sides lost their duel.
Fast forward to Saturday, both teams were at the IU Indy Invite, facing numerous teams. The women’s side picked up two head-to-head wins, while the men’s had none.
Men’s Soccer
No. 25 ranked Xavier hosted Marquette Friday, winning 3-0.

The Musketeers remain unbeaten on the year at 7-0-2. Looking ahead to this week, they host Evansville Tuesday and travel to Seton Hall Saturday.
Volleyball
The Musketeers traveled to St. John’s on Friday, losing 3-2 (17-25, 26-24, 22-25, 25-13, 14-16).
Saturday, they traveled to Seton Hall, winning 3-1 (25-18, 24-26, 25-15, 25-23).
Sophomore outsider hitter Ava Tilden had a total of 40 kills in those two games, setting a new career high in the process.
The Musketeers are now 10-5 on the year. This week, they travel to Butler Wednesday and Creighton Sunday.
Women’s Golf
Xavier competed at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate Friday-Sunday. The Musketeers finished second out of 15 teams, shooting a combined score of -5. Junior Isabel Brozena finished in a three-way tie for first place with a score of -7. Junior Ivanna Flores finished tied for seventh with a score of -4.
This week, they will compete in the Golfweek Put Me In Coach Invitational Monday and Tuesday.
Cross Country
Both the men’s and women’s team competed at the Louisville Cross Country Classic Saturday. The women’s team finished fifth out of 24 teams in the 5K and the men’s team finished 13th out of 24 in the 8K.

Men’s Basketball
Xavier Basketball is finally back as they take on the Dayton Flyers Wednesday in the CareSource Invitational (exhibition). The game is being played outdoors at the Lindner Family Sports Center.
Sansom Sports Media will be in-person bringing coverage and will have a game preview out later this week.
Tennis
Both the men’s and women’s teams will compete at the ITA Ohio Valley Regional from Oct. 8-Oct. 13.
Baseball
Oct. 11, the Musketeers travel to Kentucky for an exhibition match.
