Today, Sansom Sports Media was able to sit down with newly hired NKU Vice President and Athletic Director Mike Odom. Mike is still finishing up his time in Omaha and will be starting at NKU in a little over a week! I know I told him several times, but I want to say it again, thank you Mike for taking the time to talk with me today. You can catch the full video here:
NKU fans should be elated with Mike and his vision for NKU’s program. Not only is he focused on success, but on things much deeper than that. He wants to grow the Norse brand while simultaneously graduating students. Mike is also extremely enthusiastic about getting NKU’s students, alumni and the NKY community involved with Norse athletics. He has an extensive track record of setting attendance records and fostering elite levels of fan engagement at every one of his stops in his career.

NKU fans have been begging for a more accessible team, and the leadership today has already started to lay the foundation by decreasing season ticket prices, as well as hosting the Norse in the Neighborhood events throughout the summer! I’ve already seen an uptick in fan interest for the Norse this summer. Mike doesn’t plan to stop until the Black and Gold are the Gold standard of the Horizon League.
