Friday brought us pure, unrivaled chaos in the college basketball world!

The Miami RedHawks officially got to 31-0 on the year, That marks the first time since 2014/15 Kentucky that a team has gone undefeated throughout the regular season! Miami is locked into my field at this time. If the RedHawks are left out of the field, I am willing to go down with the ship and say that we need a new selection system.

St. John’s beat Seton Hall in physical game at the Rock. SHU now needs to win the BET or they will be out of the field.

WVU beat UCF in Morgantown. This is yet another bad loss in a string of losses. The Knights are a 9/10 at this time and in danger of getting jumped by other teams.

VCU beat Dayton in Dayton Friday. VCU is clearly in the field right now. However, they are in severe danger of falling out of the field as other teams have bigger opportunities around them.

Pandemonium in conference tournaments!

MVC – putting the Madness in Arch Madness!!!

Drake beat Belmont (conference favorite) 100-79. UIC beat Murray State, Bradley and Valpo played a 2 OT game before Bradley won, and UNI upset Illinois State!

Big South

High Point rolled, but the other matchups were all electric! Winthrop closed on a 10-0 run over the last 37 seconds to beat Charleston Southern, UNC Asheville and Longwood went to OT with UNC Asheville winning by just 3, and Presbyterian upset Radford, also in OT!

Summit

Omaha took care of South Dakota (upset alert), and North Dakota beat Denver by 16,

WCC

Portland and Seattle will move on after both gaemes were very close!

Sun Belt

Southern Mississippi upset Texas State, and Georgia Southern upset South Alabama! This conference is so chaotic, and I love it!

MAAC

Merrimack and Sacred Heart played a bit of a defensive battle. Merrimack held SHU to just 48 points. Fairfield opened up a lead, winning by 19 over Saint Peters.

ASU

Central Arkansas, Austin Peay and Queens all took care of their opponent. FGCU upset Lipscomb 77-53 in the surprise of the day!

SoCon

We had 2 key results yesterday! The Citadel upset Chattanooga to open the tournament! UNC Greensboro handled VMI.

CAA

Notheastern took care of NC A&T to kick the event in DC off!

The Final Day of the Regular Season & The First Bid of the Year!

The first NCAA tournament bid of the year will tip off at 9:00 ET on ESPN2. Morehead State takes on Tennessee State in a matchup that should be amazing! Make sure you lock in.

Xavier @ villanova | Noon, TNT

This game is important for seeding for Nova. However, not much else. A full preview is here from @Charlie

Houston @ Oklahoma State | Noon, CBS

Houston → 2 seed coming into today. 6th overall. Oklahoma State is one of my 7/8th teams out at this time. Houston is 12.5 point favorites and should roll here.

Virginia Tech @ Virginia | Noon, The CW Network

Virginia is favored by 11.5 in this one. However, this game should provide a level of desperation for the Hokies, who are my first team out currently. UVA is a 4 at this time.

Arkansas @ Missouri | Noon, ESPN

The Tigers are favored by 1.5 coming into this crucial game in Columbia. Expect a ton of points. If Missouri wins this one, they will be locked in. Arkansas, meanwhile is fighting to stay on the 5 line at this time. Missouri is a 9 currently.

Georgia Tech @ Clemson | Noon, ACCN

Clemson is currently an 8 right now, Losing to Georgia Tech would be absolutely brutal. They’re favored by 16.5.

UConn @ Marquette | 12:30, FOX

The Huskies look to take a solid step towards a 1 seed with a win today over Marquette. A loss would relegate them to the 2 line.

Arizona State @ Iowa State | 2:00, FS1

The Cyclones are currently favored by 14.5 and are a 3 seed at this time. A loss here would likely push them to the 4 line, while a win would make me relatively confident they are a 3 come Selection Sunday.

Kansas State @ Kansas | 2:00, CBS

The battle for the State of Kansas should normally be a monumental matchup. However, this year, Kansas should roll pas the Wildcats. They’re favored by 16.5 and currently project as a 4.

Louisville @ Miami (Fl) | 2:00, ESPNU

The Cardinals have slid back to the 6 line for me currently. Miami has jumped to the 7 line. If Louisville falls, the two could theoretically flip seed lines. Miami is favored by 1.5 at home. This matchup is critical in the ACC tournament picture.

Vanderbilt @ Tennessee | 2:00, ESPN

Tennessee is favored by 3.5 in this rivalry matchup. I would like to apologize to the Vol fans for missing this one. Had something come up! Looking at the matchup, these two are in a jumbled mess on the 5/6 lines and this matchup will go a long way to settling who ends up in which location.

Cincinnati @ TCU | 2:00, TNT

The Bearcats are finally in the tournament picture, while TCU is in the field asa. 10 right now. However, both are in the “bubble” category at this moment. A TCU win means that Cincinnati will be practically eliminated. However, a TCU loss would see them fall back to the 11 line, while Cincinnati jumps up, and either into the field or the first team out.

SMU @ Florida State | 2:00, ACCN

Florida State is actually favored here. This matchup is critical for SMU, who comes in a 1.5 point underdog. SMU is currently in Dayton in my latest projection, and cannot afford a loss here.

Stanford @ NC State | 2:15, The CW Network

NC State currently projects as a 10 seed, however, they’re a bit shaky. Unless they have a significant margin of defeat here, however, I think they’re safely in the field despite a loss. NCSU is favored by 8.5 in Raleigh.

Georgia @ Mississippi State | 3:30, SECN

Georgia is a 7 right now. I do not think that the Bulldogs can climb any higher, and they are absolutely vulnerable to fall down a bit. They’re favored by 5.5 for this matchup in Starkville.

Florida @ Kentucky | 4:00, ESPN

The Gators are 6.5 point favorites in Rupp today. Florida is fighting for the 1 line, while UK has recently jumped all the way to the 6 line. I’m extremely curious to see how Kentucky does against the Gators who are playing like one of the best teams in the country.

Wisconsin @ Purdue | 4:00, CBS

Senior night for one of the best point guards in Big Ten History! Braden Smith is climbing the record books constantly and will look to continue to do so today against Wisconsin, Purdue is a 3, while Wisconsin is a 6. Purdue is favored by 8.5.

Saint Louis @ George Mason | 4:00, USA Network

This is a vital game for the Billikens to take care of. A win stabilizes them on the 8/9 line, while a loss could plummet them to the 10 range. They’re favored by 7.5.

New Mexico @ Utah State | 4:00, MWN

Utah State is favored by 7.5. While the Aggies have been the best team in the conference from a seeding standpoint all year, they are suddenly falling, and if they lose here, we would see a 3 way tie for first in the conference! USU is a 9 currently, and New Mexico is my 4th team out.

California @ Wake Forest | 4:00, ACCN

Massive matchup for Cal. If they lose they are officially done, but a win would keep them alive.

Indiana @ Ohio State | 5:30, FOX

BUBBLE BATTLE! This bubble matchup is the key to Indiana’s hopes of making it back into the field, however, Ohio State would practically lock a bid up with a win here. This matchup will be awesome to watch, and there are so many implications in Columbus. OSU is favored by 4.5.

Texas A&M @ LSU | 6:00, SECN

A&M is likely in the field regardless, and currently they are a 10. However, a loss here could shoot them back to the 11 line. They’re favored by 3.5.

North Carolina @ Duke | 6:30, ESPN

How does UNC do knowing that Wilson is now out for the year? Does Duke continue their hot streak? The Blue Devils are favored by 17.5, which injury or not, feels like too many points! UNC → 5. Duke → 1 overall.

Auburn @ Alabama | 8:30, ESPN

Auburn has to win. A loss moves them back out as they would be 15-14 and a team with that record just flat isn’t getting in. Alabama, meanwhile, is fighting for the 4 line, and a win here would help solidify that. Alabama is favored by 8.5.

Oklahoma @ Texas | 8:30, SECN

A win here would most likely take care of any doubt that Texas would get a bid. Oklahoma does need to win the SECT to get in. Texas is favored by 7.5 and is a 10 currently.

UCLA @ USC | 9:00, FS1

Both teams are relatively desperate for this one. USC, however, is clearly the more desperate party. They are my 9th out and Absolutley need more than this to even get close. UCLA, meanwhile, is an 8 and pretty safely in the field.

Texas Tech @ BYU | 10:30, ESPN

Monumental matchup in Provo! BYU is favored by 1.5, however, I don’t trust the Cougs. I think Texas Tech wins this one relatively easily. TTU → 3, BYU → 7.

Arizona @ Colorado | 11:00, ESPN2

Arizona should roll here. They’re favored by 14.5.

MVC

Semifinal day is here! Drake and UIC will battle after the upsets, and UNI/Bradley will follow! Both of these games should be really close. Expect a rock fight in the later matchup.

CAA

We have a full slate of matchups, all on FloSport. Campbell and Stony Brook kick things off in what should be a close game. Northeastern and Drexel will play, with Drexel being favored. Hampton and Towson tip off the evening with Towson being favored by 6.5. Finally, Elon is playing William & Mary, who is a 4.5 point favorite.

SoCon

We have reached the quarter finals. 4 games, starting at noon! ETSU should roll past the Citadel. However, the other 3 gaems all project to be close. Make sure you tune into ESPN+ to catch the action!

NEC

After no games on Friday, we’ve made it to the Semi’s! Stonehill is in Erie, PA to face off with Mercyhurst, while Wagner travels to Brooklyn to take on LIU!

Big South

Semi-Final Saturday is here! UNC Asheville and High Point tip off at noon, followed by Presbyterian and Winthrop after!

The American East kicks off today!

UMBC comes in as the favorite, but don’t count out Vermont or NJIT. Perhaps we could see a run from UMass Lowell?

Summit

The Semi’s are here. Omaha and ND State will face off at 8:00, fofllowed by North Dakota and St. Thomas at 10:30. These should be really fun!

ASUN

Semi-Final Saturday in the ASUN. FGCU and Central Arkansas will face off to open the night, with Queens and Austin Peay battlning after that one! Games tip at 5:00.

Big Sky

The tournament gets going today! Northern Arizona and Idaho State face off at 7:30, followed by Sacramento State and Idaho!

Sun Belt

Southern Miss and App State will tip at 6:30, in a game where App State is favored y 3.5. Georgia Southern and Coastal Carolina will face off in a matchup that should feature a ton of points, and CCU is favored by 1.

MAAC:

Marist @ Quinnipiac will start the evening, followed by Mount St. Mary’s and Siena! Both of these matchups feel like they could go either way and I woudn’t be surprised at all.

WCC

Portland @ San Francisco kicks things off at 9:00, while Seattle U and Pacific will close the night with a 11:30 tip-off.
