Tuesday Madness & Wednesday’s Bubble Watch | March 4, 2026

Tuesday was chaotic!

  • TCU beats Texas Tech in the biggest bubble result of the night! TCU → 10/11. Tech → 4.
  • Texas A&M beats Kentucky by 11 in a really impressive result for the Aggies. I’d expect to see them in the field this year. 9/10 currently.
  • Georgia picks up a 10 point home win over Alabama. I think this is enough to where UGA will be in the field. They’re a 9 right now. Alabama will fall back to the 5 line.
  • Oklahoma State beat UCF in a big bubble result. The Cowboys (though unlikely), still have life in theory. UCF might fall back to the bottom of the 8 line.
  • Oklahoma took down Missouri in a rough result for the Tigers. Mizzou is likely a 10.
  • VCU survives a scare from George Mason at home. VCU remains barely in the field.
  • Tennessee wins in Columbia. UT → 5
  • 30-0! Miami wins to continue their historic year! Miami → 10
  • St. John’s survives a scare from Georgetown in a 3 point win. SJU → 5.
  • North Carolina beats Clemson in a key ACC Result. UNC might push to the 4 line.
  • Virginia survives a scare from Wake Forest. UVA → 4.
  • Florida continues to look like the best team in the country, beating Mississippi State 108-74. UF – 2.
  • Illinois dominates Oregon to remain a 2.
  • Arizona State beats Kansas in a crazy game with Bill Self ejected! Kansas – 4.
  • Vanderbilt survives in OT vs. Ole Miss. They remain a 5.
  • Cincinnati beats BYU at home. Bearcats move to first 4 out. BYU -> 7.
  • Boise dominates SDSU, ending their at-large hopes.
  • Virginia Tech beats Boston College, keeping them alive on the bubble.
  • Louisville beats Syracue. Louisville remains a 6.
  • Auburn survives a bit of a test from LSU. The tigers need one more before I put them back in.
  • UCLA dominates Nebraska in a game the Bruins needed! Nebraska falls to the back of the 3 line. UCLA → 9/10
  • UNLV dominates Utah State in a surprise late night result. The Aggies drop to the 8 line.

Bracketology Note:

I have provided my tentative movement from last night’s games here. I need some time to reevaluate and re-evaulate the entire field. Will be doing that tonight, so some shifts will come just from that.

Wednesday!

We have a noon tip-off with the ASUN getting started!!

Minnesota @ Indiana | 6:30, BTN

IU is currently one of my first teams out. They cannot take a loss here to have any chance. They’re favored by 7.5.

Texas @ Arkansas | 7:00, ESPN2

Texas is currently a 10. Arkansas is currently a 5. A win here might move the Razorbacks to a 4, while a loss solidifies them on the 5. Texas, meanwhile could practically secure a bid here.

Miami (Fl) @ SMU | 7:00, ACCN

SMU is favored by 1.5 here. The Mustangs are a 10 right now. Miami, however, comes in hot and are currently an 8 seed. This is must-watch.

California @ Georgia Tech | 7:00, ESPNU

Cal is favored by just 3.5 in Atlanta. A loss here officially ends Cal’s hopes. A win, however, keeps them alive.

Ohio State @ Penn State | 7:30, Peacock

The Buckeyes feel like they’re pretty clearly in right now. However, a loss to PSU would change that. OSU is favored by 7.5 here.

Maryland @ Wisconsin

The Badgers, currently a 6/7 seed. The Badgers are favored by 13.5 at the Kohl Center.

Villanova @ DePaul | 8:00, Peacock

Nova just lost Hodge for the year to an ACL. While I feel a 22-7 team should not be left out, they would be advised to look good tonight against DePaul. They’re favored by 3.5. They project as an 8.

Purdue @ Northwestern | 8:30, BTN

Purdue is favored by 11.5 tonight and they’re lookign to ensure they stop their backwards slide and stabilize a bit! They’re a 3.

Baylor @ Houston | 9:00, ESPN2

The Cougs are fighting for the 6th overall seed right now. A win tonight, while not needle moving, would help push them there. This would be a bad loss. Houston is favored by 14.5.

Colordao State @ New Mexico | 10:00, CBSSN

New Mexico is favored by 8.5. The Lobos are a 11 currently projected to go to Dayton.
