Saturday brought pure chaos! Here is the result for every tournament team in one spot. Tentative impacts from each result here:

  • Duke – 77-51 victory over Virginia; they remain 1 overall
  • Arizona – 84-61 victory over Kansas; Arizona is clearly 3rd overall, and there’s a gap between 3/4
  • UConn – 71-67 victory over Seton Hall. They remain a 1 for now
  • Iowa State – 82-73 loss to Texas Tech. They fall back a bit on the 2 line
  • Florida.- 111-77 victory over Arkansas – Florida vs. UConn for the final 1 seed is officially on! UF 5 overall for now
  • Houston – 102-62 win over Colorado – 6/7 overall
  • Kansas – lost to AZ 84-61. drop a bit back on the 3 line
  • Nebraska – 82-67 victory over USC; remain a 3 for now
  • Gonzaga – Falling 70-59 to Saint Mary’s really pushes them onto the 4 lin e a bit more clearly.
  • Texas Tech – 82-73 win at Hilton over Iowa State; they’re a 3/4 seed
  • Virginia – 77-51 blowout loss to Duke. UVA remains a 4 for now
  • Alabama – 71-69 buzzer beating win over Tennessee in Knoxville. Alabama remains a 4
  • Vanderbilt – 91-77 loss @ UK. Vandy remains a 5, but will fall back
  • Tennessee – 71-69 loss to Alabama at home. They will remain a 5
  • Arkansas – 111-77 loss to Florida in Gainesville – Horrid margin, feels like they’re gonna end up a 5 this year.
  • UNC – 89-82 win over Virginia Tech at home – now we await the return of Wilson. They’re the top 5 seed
  • St. John’s – 89-57 blowout win over Villanova. They remain a 5
  • BYU – 79-71 loss to Villanova – this moves them down to the back end of the 6 line, with potential for other teams to jump them (namely Kentucky)
  • Louisville – 80-75 loss to Clemson in SC. They remain a 6
  • Wisconsin – 90-73 win over Washington, they remain a 6
  • Villanova – 89-57 loss to St. John’s They fall a couple of spots back on the 7 line, however, with the losses today around them, they won’t fall much
  • Kentucky – 91-77 win over Vanderbilt – UK is clearly going to be a single digit seed. They’re now the top 7 seed
  • Iowa – 71-69 loss @ Penn State. Normally, I woud be a bit more dramatic about how bad this loss is, however, everyone lost in this area of the bracket, and while PSU is just 3-15 in B10 play, they’re compeitive, especially at home.
  • NC State – Lost to Notre Dame 96-90. Same as the Iowa result above; they will stay a 7/8
  • Saint Mary’s – Victorious over Gonzaga 70-59 in a monumental result. They’re a 7.
  • Utah State – 74-69 victory over GCU at home. This moves USU to the 7 line
  • Saint Louis – 91-76 win over Duquesne. I think they’re safely in the field. They remain an 8
  • UCF – 87-86 loss to Baylor at home. Not totally devastating, but a step back. They are an 8/9
  • UCLA – 78-73 loss to Minnesota. Not terrible, but will keep them ion the 9 line for now
  • Miami (Florida) – 76-54 win. They are the top 9 for now
  • Clemson – 80-75 win over Louisville at home. This result is massive for the Tigers! They are tenatively an 8/9
  • SMU – 20 point blwoout to Stanford?! Yikes! They were a 9 seed, we’ll have to reevaluate basically from here down as metrics update
  • Texas A&M – 76-70 loss to Texas – This result is key along the bubble. For now, Texas moves to a 10. A&M likely remains a 10 as well
  • Georgia – 87-68 win over South Carolina. This should help push them into the field a bit more, but they remain a 10
  • Missouri – It was a great day to be a Tiger! They won 88-64 and while they remain a 10, they move up along the line a bit
  • Auburn – 85-79 loss to Ole Miss… AT HOME – Genuinely brutal loss here. Auburn is now 15-14. They have to get to 2 games above .500 for me to even consider them
  • TCU – 77-68 victory oat Kansas State – this win gives them a bit more stable footing. They’ll be a 11, but not in Dayton
  • Texas – 76-70 win over A&M – massive victory on the bubble! The Longhorns move up along the bubble a bit
  • Santa Clara – 93-72 victory over Oregon State. SCU should show up relatively clearly in brackets for now
  • Cal – This is the clear worst loss of the day. 72-56 to PITT?! At home, nonetheless. Cal now falls well out of the field
  • San Diego State – 81-76 loss to New Mexico at the Pit. SDSU – OUT
  • New Mexico – 81-76 victory over SDSU. The Lobos move in
  • Virginia Tech – 89-82 loss to UNC. That being said, they may move into the field with other results
  • VCU – 82-63 win over Fordham. It’s quite possible that the 22-7 Rams are in the field now
  • USC – 82-67 loss to Nebraska. the Trojans will continue to move out
  • Indiana and Ohio State – Both idle today, but would move well in with a win today
  • Seton Hall – 71-67 loss to UConn – I think the Pirates are out.
  • Oklahoma State – 91- 68 loss to Cincinnati – Cowboys are done
  • West Virginia – 79-71 win over BYU – huge result! They do have a chance after the bubble chaos!
  • Cincinnati – 91-68 win over OKST. The Bearcats are close to the next 4 out at this time. There is still a (SMALL) chance they could make it

Sunday

Massive game in teh Schott! Unfortunately, I could not make it up today as I was planning. Life sucks that way sometimes! Purdue – 2/3. OSU – Bubble – OUT currently.

Michigan State @ Indiana | 3:45, CBS

Massive bubble implications here as well, as IU looks to jump in! Michigan State remains a 3 currently.

Belmont @ Illinois State | 5:00, CBSSN

Belmont is 26-4. There is a potential outside shot they could get a bid. They MUST win here to have any hopes though.
