USC, Ohio St., Indiana

“Fringe Bubble”

“Near Lock”

That was an unexpected result for Wisconsin given how Oregon has looked much of the season. However, as long as they don’t lose their remaining games; they are fine. The wins over Michigan, Illinois and Michigan St. probably get them anyway, but just being cautious.

Iowa got an important win against Ohio St. last night. All they gotta do to seal their bid is beat Penn St. on the road.

UCLA has really changed the trajectory of their season over the past week or so. First, they came back to beat Illinois in OT to add to the win they have over Purdue. Then the Bruins knocked USC down a peg by dominating them. 1 more win should do it!

“Bubble”

USC has lost 4 in a row to go from being in a pretty good position to getting a bid to very much in doubt. The loss to Oregon was rough and losing by 19 to UCLA wasn’t good either. They finish with UCLA, Nebraska and Washington. They might have to win all 3 to make it. 2-1 would keep them in the mix heading into the SEC Tournament. Anything less and I think they miss.

Ohio St. got that important win over Wisconsin, but then followed it up by losing at Mich St. and Iowa. That 1-10 Q1 record is tough to look at especially knowing that the “1” was at Northwestern. They really need to beat Purdue this weekend.

Things are starting to look bleak in Bloomington. They’ve lost 3 in a row and after losing at home to Northwestern; the Hoosiers are now 4-11 in Q1/2 games. They really need to beat Michigan St. this weekend. If they don’t I really don’t think beating Minnesota and Ohio St. will be enough.
