Tuesday night provided us with impactful results everywhere!

Indiana lost to Northwestern in the most impactful game of the night. I have temporarily moved Ohio State in for Indiana.

UCF beat BYU in Provo to move them to the edge of a lock.

Nevada beat New Mexico in a key late night game. I’ve moved USC in for New Mexico.

There were other impactful results, but those were the notable ones!

Wednesday’s Slate:

St. John’s @ UConn | 7:00, Peacock

The Huskies are favored by 4.5 points in snowy Hartford on Wednesday night. UConn with a win stays a 1, however, a loss would likely drop them to the 2 line. SJU with a loss would remain on the 5 line, however, a win will shoot them up towards the 4/5 cutoff and give them a shot at a protected seed.

Florida @ Texas | 7:00, ESPN2

Speaking of big opportunities, Texas has a monumental bubble opportunity tonight against Florida. A win would jump them up towards the 10 line, while a loss could see them drop to Dayton. The Gators will look to move toward the 2 line with a win!

Maryland @ Nebraska | 7:00, BTN

Nebraska is 17.5 point home favorites tonight. This is nothing more than a landmine. Expect to see them win big.

Georgia @ Vanderbilt | 7:00, SECN

The ‘dores come in favored by 9.5 at home in Nashville tonight. UGA, however, is looking to push further into the field. A win for UGA would move them to one win away from a lock. A loss leaves them right on the edge of the 9/10 line. For Vanderbilt, they’re currently a 5 seed, and will look to use a solid win here to keep pace in a competitive area of the bracket.

Butler @ Villanova | 7:00, FS1

Huge matchup in the Finn! Villanova comes in favored by 9.5 points. A win here would help push Nova towards the 6 line pending other results. A loss would push them down onto the 7 line a bit more firmly.

Mississippi State @ Alabama | 9:00, ESPNU

This is a game the Tide should easily win. However, they’ve had a lot of off the court stuff going on, and I’m very intrigued to see how they handle the noise. They’re currently my final 4 seed.

Texas A&M @ Arkansas | 9:00, ESPN2

This Arkansas team continues to be one of those teams who are constantly talked about along the 5 line. This is their opportunity to continue climbing the ladder step by step. For A&M, this is an opportunity to pick up a monumental win and feel much safer about making the dance.

SMU @ California | 10:00, ACCN

Huge matchup for both. Cal is right on the edge of the bubble, while SMU has slowly climbed up to the 8 line. A win for Cal could very well put them in the field, however, a loss and I don’t believe they’ll have much of a path left. SMU is favored by 3.5.

Santa Clara @ Saint Mary’s | 11:00, CBSSN

The winner of this game feels extremely good about getting into the field. The loser? Much, much worse. SMC is favored by 5.5 in this monumental WCC clash. Santa Clara is currently an 11, while SMC is a 9.

Wisconsin @ Oregon | 11:00, BTN

Huge battle here for the Badgers. No, Oregon isn’t a good team, however, they’re extremely streaky and going out west is very tough. Wisconsin is favored by 4.5 and project as a 6.

Utah State @ San Diego State | 11:00, FS1

This is one of a few key opportunities Utah State gets down the stretch. This one is really important for the Aggies, who look to jump towards the 6 line. For SDSU, any hopes of getting close to the field rest here. A loss would practically end their hopes.

A-10

George Mason travels to Saint Joseph’s in a battle of 9-5 teams. Davidson and Duquesne will battle in Pittsburgh in a key matchup for tournament standings.

American

North Texas and Charlotte battle in a game that could shake up the middle of the standings. 7:00, ESPN+

Tulsa and Tulane face off in a game where Tulsa is just trying to keep up with South Florida. Tulane is fighting to stay in the top 5. 7:30, ESPN+

South Florida travels to Rice tonight in a game they should win easily. 8:00, ESPN+

ECU and UTSA battle at the bottom of the conference. 8:00, ESPN+

MVC

Illinois State @ Northern Iowa at 7:00 is the biggest game of the night. They’re both 10-8. UNI is favored by 5.5 at home.

Evansville travels to Nashville to take on Belmont. Expect the Bruins to roll.

Drake travels to Valpo in a game where Valpo is favored by 4.5.

Indiana State travels to Southern Illinois in a game that SIU is favored by 8.5.

Patriot

Bucknell @ Army | 11:00, ESPN+

No reason to call this out other than it tips at 11 AM ET and features two 5-11 teams in the Patriot. Who doesn’t love day ball?!

Colgate is at Lafayette as they look to finalize the 2 seed in the conference. Lehigh and American are playing the game of the night in the conference in DC with AU being favored by 6.5. Holy Cross and Boston will battle in Boston in a fun one, and the conference champs (Navy) will close it out in Baltimore against Loyola Maryland. All tips at 7:00 on ESPN+

MEAC

Morgan State @ SC State in Orangeburg is the only matchup until Saturday! SCST is favored by 1.5 in this 6:00 tipoff. A win puts the Bears tied with Howard for the conference lead!

Summit

Just the one matchup tonight. Omaha is in Vermillion tonight to try and climb up towards the top three. South Dakota is looking to claw up towards Denver and the top 5. Tip at 7:00 on CBSSN

Horizon

5 games tonight, and then one more game day for the league (Saturday).

NKU @ Cleveland State – more on Valhalla Voice! If NKU doesn’t win out, they will not be getting a home game in the first round.

Oakland @ IU Indy – Oakland is sliding, quickly. however, I expect them to roll here. They’re favored by 5.5.

Detroit Mercy @ Robert Morris – This one will help settle who ends up in 2nd place. If RMU wins, it’s them, however, if Detroit wins and Oakland wins, it’s Oakland. Pandemonium!

Wright State @ Purdue Fort Wayne – PFW is looking to climb back to that 11-7 grouping. Tiebreaker comes into play if they win tonight. WSU, however, will clinch the conference with a win.

Youngstown State @ Milwaukee – this is a battle towards the bottom of the conference. However, a win could help boost YSU over NKU with a Norse loss.

SoCon

ETSU has the conference wrapped up, but will look to beat Wofford and continue to dominate as they have all year. The Citadel and Furman are matched up in Greenville, while Mercer travels to Western Carolina in a key battle along the middle of the conference.

ASUN

4 matchups, with the biggest spread being 5.5 points. Tonight is going to be electric!

Lipscomb travels to West Georgia with hopes to continue fighting in that second tier of the conference. Queens is in Richmond to take on Eastern Kentucky in a toss-up that promises a ton of points. Central Arkansas is in Clarksville to battle Peay in a critical game in that race for 2nd (Peay has the top spot wrapped). Finally, North Alabama will look to get out of the basement at home vs. Bellarmine.

Sun Belt

2 games, both of which have big implications. JMU takes on Georgia Southern in a game of teams side by side in the standings. South Alabama hosts UL Monroe for a chance to create a 4-way tie for first!
