Apologies for the brief hiatus from my daily previews. This weekend was chaotic in the Sansom household!
Bracketology Updates:
Reminder that all AQ’s are sorted via WAB right now. The conference leader per ESPN is the team that you’ll see in the bracket at this time.
Trouble points/areas I’m not completely comfortably with:
- Final 1 spot – UConn/ISU/Houston got even more muddy this weekend
- Final 4 spot – Alabama vs. Tennessee vs. Vanderbilt right now
- The bottom of the 6 line to the top of the 8 line (Louisville -> Iowa) is extremely close.
- Saint Mary’s -> Auburn is extremely tight, these teams are relatively safe, but could move down to the bubble quickly.
- The teams on the 11 line are all in precarious spots. Any of them could be out quickly if they take a bad loss or if a team below them gets a big win.
The Bubble Hate-Grid will be making a comeback on Tuesday of this week!!
Sunday’s Recap:
Michigan State uses a strong 2nd half and beats Ohio State. OSU is running out of time quickly.
Wisconsin and Iowa was a fun matchup, with the Badgers getting a key win and moving to a 6.
Lehigh picked up a crucial Patriot League win yesterday vs. Boston.
UAB took care of Memphis to kick the day off, winning by 11. UAB now has a 1.5 game advantage over Memphis.
Horizon Chaos:
- Detroit Mercy beats Green Bay in a critical result. DMU is now 11-7. GB is 11-8.
- RMU beat Wright State in Dayton Sunday. SDU remains the top team in the conference, RMU is in a great spot for 2nd.
- Purdue Fort Wayne moves to 10-8 in conference play with a win over Cleveland State
- Youngstown State uses an elite defensive half to beat NKU. The Norse are well behind in the conference race for 5th now.
- Oakland beat Milwaukee Sunday. Oakland is now 3rd.

MAAC outlook
- Merrimack – clinched the title!
- Marist comes back to beat Sacred Hart to move to 12-7 in the MAAC!
- Fairfield with the upset road victory over Quinnipiac!
- Siena beat Saint Peters by 9 to pull to 12-6 in conference play!

Big Monday:
Louisville @ North Carolina | 7:00, ESPN
This is a massive ACC matchup! Louisville comes in as a 1.5 point favorite as Wilson remains out for the Tar Heels. These two are side by side on the 6 line of my seed list currently. This is a key battle, not only in the ACC, but nationally!
Both Stephen F. Austin and McNeese are at home tonight, favored by 10+. A win here for SFA would lock up the title outright!
Houston @ Kansas | 9:00, ESPN
This is the game of the night, and maybe the game of the week! Kansas is coming off a loss to Cincinnati at home in an embarrassing performance. Houston is coming off a loss to Arizona. Houston is a 2, Kansas is in the crowded 3/4 range.
