Friday night saw some monumental results:

Michigan went into East Lansing & beat the Spartans tonight in a really fun matchup! Mich → 1, MSU → 3.

Grand Canyon takes care of Boise State to continue pushing toward the field!

Saturday promises to be full of statement wins!

There are a ton of matchups, both high and low major. I am prioritizing tournament impact while keeping the article condensed (as much as I can). There are matchups I’m leaving off especially in the middle of the low-major conferences!

Duke @ Virginia Tech | Noon, ESPN

Duke is favored by 10.5 here, but has had a tendency to play down at times. Virginia Tech is a tournament caliber team and especially at home, they can cause some chaos. This should be fun!

Cincinnati @ Houston | Noon, FOX

These two played a really fun one earlier this year in Cincinnati. Since then, Houston appears to have really found his stride. I expect Houston to win big here. They’re a 2 seed currently and are favored by 13.5.

Texas Tech @ UCF | Noon, ESPN2

This is a really intriguing matchup and should have a ton of eyes on it! UCF is dangerous, especially at home where they’ve already knocked off Kansas. However, Tech is a different animal. The Raiders come in favored by 3.5 and projected as a 3 seed. UCF projects as an 8 seed right now.

Pittsburgh @ Clemson | Noon, ACCN

Clemson should roll here. The Tigers are projecting as a 6 seed currently and they’re favored by 12.5.

Marquette @ Seton Hall | Noon, Peacock

Seton Hal is 1/1 this week after an incredible 2nd half performance and comeback vs. Xavier. The Pirates now have another game that they cannot lose if they want to stay right on the edge of the tournament!

Georgetown @ Butler | Noon, TNT

This is a vital game for Butler, who sits right on the edge of the bubble. The Bulldogs will look to get a win here and continue pushing towards the field.

NC State @ Wake Forest | Noon, ACCN Extra

The Wolfpack project as an 8-10 seed type of team right now and will head into this in-state rivalry as 3.5 point favorites. This is a game they really need to keep off the bubble.

San Diego State @ Utah State | 1:00, CBS

First, why is this game occurring at 11 AM local time?! Second, this is an elite matchup! Utah State comes in as 5.5 point favorites, however, this will feel like a tournament game this afternoon. Expect to see this one come down to the wire. The winner will be the projected AQ for the MWC on Monday.

Robert Morris @ Purdue Fort Wayne | 1:00, ESPN+

This game could help to begin solving the chaos that is the middle of the Horizon league! If Purdue Fort Wayne wins, they’re In a great spot for that 3rd place, but if RMU wins, chaos will ensue.

Stonehill @ Le Moyne | 1:00, NEC Front Row

Massive NEC matchup that will help determine how things head down the stretch!

Xavier @ DePaul | 1:00, FS1

Local intrigue here, but no real tournament impacts!

LSU @ South Carolina 1:00, SECN+

If LSU wants to make the tournament, they have to win this. They’re favored by 2.5. Tigers are currently out of the bracket.

Texas A&M @ Georgia | 1:00, SECN

UGA comes in favored by 2.5. The Bulldogs are currently an 8 seed, while A&M is a 10. This game feels like a first round type of matchup! The winner will be in a great spot.

Virginia @ Boston College | 1:30, The CW Network

This is a landmine for UVA. Currently they’re a 4 seed on projections.

Arizona @ Arizona State

The Wildcats dominate this rivalry, home and away. now they’re on the road and favored by 14.5. Arizona will look to continue their roll as the 1 overall seed.

North Carolina @ Georgia Tech | 2:00, ACCN

This is a landmine for UNC, who goes into Atlanta as a 10.5 point favorite. They’re projecting as a 5/6 right now.

SMU @ Louisville | 2:00, ESPN

Louisville is healthy, but coming off of an embarrassing loss this week. Will they be able to get out of their funk and get a big home win? SMU comes in as an 8, while the Cardinals come in as 9.5 point favorites projecting as a 6/7 seed.

Ohio State @ Wisconsin | 2:00, FOX

The Kohl Center should be hyped for this bubble battle! Wisconsin is currently a 9, and comes into this one favored by 3.5. OSU is one of my last teams in currently.

Texas @ Oklahoma | 2:00, ESPN2

Red River Rivalry, hops edition! Oklahoma is clearly out of the tournament right now, while Texas is one of the final teams in or first teams out. OU is favored by 1.5 in what should be an electric matchup!

California Baptist @ UT Arlington | 3:00, ESPN+

This is a key WAC matchup! CBU comes in favored by 1.5, but this is anyone’s game.

Jacksonville State @ Missouri State | 3:00. ESPN+

This will help shape the CUSA race behind Liberty!

Northern Illinois @ Miami (OH) | 3:30, ESPN+

Can the RedHawks keep their undefeated season rolling? They’re favored by 16.5!

Mississippi State @ Missouri | 3:30, SECN

Missouri is favored by 7.5 at home here, and they need to win by that (or more). The Tigers are on the outside looking in.

Lindenwood @ Morehead State | 3:30, ESPN+

The winner here keeps pace at the top of the conference. However, both teams are already behind UT Martin and can’t afford additional losses.

Baylor @ WVU | 4:00, ESPN2

This matchup is pivotal for WVU, who is suddenly hoping to make a push to get to the dance.

Cal @ Miami (FL) | 4:00, ACCN

Cal is coming off a really bad loss to FSU. Miami is much stiffer competition. Both teams need this one, only one can get the win. Miami comes in as a 9 while Cal is well out at the present.

BYU @ Kansas | 4:30, ESPN

This is a monumental NBA prospect matchup, I get that, and I do understand why people are so excited. However, this has an extraordinary impact on what the NCAAT picture looks like! Both teams project as 4 seeds, KU is favored by 4.5.

Appalachian State @ Troy | 4:30, ESPN+

This is a battle for the top of the Sun Belt! Troy is favored by 7.5.

Indiana @ UCLA | 5:00, Peacock

BUBBLE BATTLE! The winner will be in my next projection, the loser might still be in, but it’ll be very close.

Montana State @ Portland State | 5:00, ESPN+

This is a key Big Sky matchup. Portland State suffered their first conference loss this week and will now look to rebound at home. PRST is favored by 3.5.

Ole Miss @ Vanderbilt | 6:00, SECN

Vanderbilt has officially regained their footing after the 3 game slide. They’re a 3/4 and are favored to win this one easily.

Oklahoma State @ Utah | 6:00, ESPN2

The Cowboys cannot afford a loss here and have any hopes of making it. Utah is favored by 1.5. OKST is well out of the field at the moment.

Stanford @ Florida State | 6:00, ACCN

This is another fringe bubble team who just cannot afford a loss here, but this FSU team is solid and will put up a tough fight!

Kentucky @ Arkansas | 6:30, ESPN

The Calipari Bowl is here! Arkansas is favored by 7.5. Arkansas is one of the better SEC teams, and are projecting a 5. UK, however, is rapidly trending towards the bubble and sits currently as an 8 after their dismantling at the hands of Vanderbilt.

Rutgers @ USC | 7:00, Peacock

The Trojans currently project as an 8/9 seed, and Rutgers is clearly out. A tournament team should win this game, especially at home.

UConn @ Creighton | 8:00, FOX

UConn hasn’t looked great at times recently, both at home and on the road. However, they’re 10-0 in Big East play! This matchup is monumental for Creighton to have any hope of making the Dance. If they cannot win here, I honestly just don’t see them getting a bid. UConn is favored by 6.5.

USF @ Temple | 8:00, ESPN2

This is a key American Conference Matchup, and if USF wins, they will be the leader for Monday’s bracket update. If Temple wins, we get pure chaos!

Murray State @ Belmont | 8:00, CBSSN

This is a battle for first in the MVC. Winner is the AQ on Monday!

UC San Diego @ CSUN | 8:00, ESPN+

This is a really fun Big West Matchup with both teams being 5-5!

Georgia State @ South Alabama | 8:00, ESPN+

This matchup will help settle things down the road in the Sun Belt!

Auburn @ Tennessee | 8:30, ESPN

Auburn: 7 seed, Tennessee: 6 seed. This game should have all of the chaos and fun we’re looking for in an SEC rivalry matchup! The Vols are favored by 5.5.

Santa Clara @ Loyola Marymount | 9:00, ESPN+

Right now, Santa Clara would be in the field, however, that changes if they lose a bad game (like this one). A win and they likely become my final at-large team on Monday.

New Mexico @ San Jose State | 10:00, CBSSN

UNM needs to avoid this massive landmine and continue building a solid tournament resume.

Saint Mary’s @ Gonzaga | 10:30, ESPN

This is one of my favorite non main-stream matchups every year, and this year is no different. Gonzaga is beat up but comes in as 9.5 point favorites. Look for This to be close!
