🔐 Arizona

“Near Lock”

Iowa St., Houston, TTU, BYU, Kansas

“Good Shape”

UCF

“Bubble”

TCU, Baylor, OKST

“Fringe Bubble”

WVU, Colorado, KState, Cincy, Arizona St.

Arizona is the first 🔐 from the Big 12. If the NCAA Tournament started today the Wildcats would be the number 1 overall seed. Who will join them?

Iowa St. and Houston could become a lock within the next week or so. Kansas and BYU are likely to join soon after.

UCF despite getting blown out by Iowa St. is still in great shape with wins over Kansas and Texas A&M plus no bad losses. Should they lose on the road to Colorado this weekend I might drop them to the Bubble Section.

TCU won a huge bubble battle last night against OKST as they rallied from down 8 with about 4 minutes to go! That win kept them very much in the mix. Next up another big bubble battle against Baylor in Waco.

Tough loss last night for OKST. Their resume metrics are keeping them afloat, but the predictives don’t believe in them. The wins over UCF and Texas A&M are keeping them afloat. Huge opportunity this weekend against Iowa St. at home. Baylor’s back to back blowout losses to Kansas and TTU leaves them 10-7 against DI competition and in need of a record boost. They really need to beat TCU at home this weekend.

Let’s look at the team’s that have slim chances, but aren’t finished yet. WVU with wins over Kansas and Colorado recently is getting closer to the bubble. They are out in the desert this weekend against the Arizona Schools. The Sun Devils need to protect the home court this week against WVU and Cincy.

The Bearcats came up with a huge win against Iowa St. Now they travel to the Arizona Schools were a win in either game would keep their hopes alive. Colorado’s chances are very slim as their best wins are  Washington, Arizona St. and Providence. Kansas St. kept their slim hopes alive by barely beating Utah. They probably need to beat Kansas at home this weekend to stay alive.
