Tuesday pulled us completely into college basketball as college football is now gone! I love CFB, but the season just drags on to long.

Tuesday’s Results:

Ohio State picked up an important win against Minnesota to stay in the field for now. The game was honestly really entertaining and back & forth through OT.

Miami uses more Miami Magic to beat Kent State after a buzzer beating layup sent the game to OT! 20-0!

Michigan rolled past Indiana, beating them badly. UM a 1, IU is clinging to life in the bubble.

Iowa State dominated UCF, winning huge. Will need to see metric updates for how far UCF will drop, but this was a huge win for ISU who is steadily on the 3.

Florida dominates LSU in another blowout. This one will hurt LSU’s chances because of the margin, Tigers were my first team out coming into tonight, and will fall a bit. Florida continue to climb up the projected field.

NC State went to Clemson & beat the Tigers. NCSU will jump into the projected field

St. Louis avoids a landmine vs. Duquesne!

St. John’s uses a furious comeback to beat Seton Hall at home. SJU now a solid 5. SHU a 11 & clinging to life.

Florida State beats Miami (Fl) in a brutal loss for the Canes who now fall to the 11 line.

Oklahoma falls to South Carolina, pushing the Sooners even further out.

Butler beats DePaul in a win that while not huge, helps steady the bulldogs in that first four out area.

TCU beats Oklahoma State in a massive bubble battle! OKST faltered down the stretch. TCU first 4 out. OKST ~ 10 out.

Iowa holds on to beat Rutgers & keeps them on the 8 line.

Michigan State dominates Oregon to stay a 3.

Texas Tech dominates Baylor, moving to a 3 seed!

Georgia beats Missouri in an electric finish! UGA → 7. Mizzou remains out.

SMU beats Wake Forest in Winston Salem. Solid win for the Mustangs. WF is on life support on the bubble, while SMU is an 8/9

Auburn beat Ole Miss in Oxford. Really solid win for the Tigers, who move to a 9.

Arkansas dominates Vanderbilt in Fayetteville. Razorbacks moving to a 5, Vandy in free fall to a 4.

UCLA Upset Purdue in a thriller in LA! The Bruins are very close to the cut-line.

Kansas beats Colorado in Boulder. KU continues to improve & is fighting for a protected seed! Purdue → 2/3.

UNLV upsets Utah State to close the night out! USU is suddenly in a lot of trouble.

Wednesday’s Games:

Dayton @ La Salle | 6:30, ESPN+

This is really important for Dayton to continue to have at-large hopes. If they were to lose here and Dayton will struggle to have any at-large hope.

Radford @ Winthrop | 6:30, ESPN+

This matchup brings two teams at the top of the Big South together! Winthrop is favored by 10.5 currently, which feels like a ton of points.

Xavier @ Creighton | 7:00, FS1

Xavier is, in all likelihood not making the tournament. Creighton, on the other hand is squarely in the bubble picture, but has moved back a bit recently. Creighton gave Xavier their worst home loss in Cintas Center history earlier this year. Will this be another blowout? Creighton favored by 8.5.

Maryland @ Illinois | 7:00, BTN

How does Illinois do with Boswell out? We’re about to find out! With him hurt, there is a huge gap that has to be filled, but thankfully they get a Maryland team who isn’t playing well. Illini favored by 18.5. Illinois comes in on the 3/4 line.

Notre Dame @ North Carolina | 7:00, ESPN2

Finally home! The Tar Heels return to Chapel Hill after a brutal stretch out west where they lost to both Stanford and Cal. The result is that they’ve fallen down to the 7 line. They will look to get back on track vs. a Notre Dame team who isn’t close to the tournament. They are favored by 11.5.

Murray State @ Drake | 7:00, CBSSN

Murray State is 8-0 in the MVC and will look to beat a competitive Drake Bulldog squad who has been very up and down all year. Murray favored by 4.5.

Colgate @ American U | 7:00, ESPN+

Colgate is favored by 1.5. Both teams are towards the top of the Patriot. This will be a really fun and consequential matchup!

Tulane @ FAU | 7:00, ESPN+

FAU should roll here, but these are two of the top team in the American.

Georgetown @ Villanova | 7:00, Peacock

While this game wouldn’t knock Nova out or anything, it would hurt them by about a seed, maybe 2. Georgetown just hasn’t been as good as we hoped they would be this year. Nova is coming in as a projected 6 and is favored by 9.5.

East Tennessee State @ Chattanooga | 7:00, ESPNU

This SoCon matchup promises to be a rock fight, however, it’s extremely important in the long-term SoCon regular season race! ETSU favored by 4.5.

Texas @ Kentucky | 7:00, SECN

Suddenly, UK is a projected 7, while Texas is projected to barely sneak into the field. This matchup is important for both teams, Texas will look to continue to build a resume with a Q1 road win, while UK wants to solidify their spot as a single digit seed and continue this streak!

Liberty @ Western Kentucky | 7:30, ESPN+

Liberty is favored by 1.5 and is coming into this one undefeated in CUSA. This is a key matchup in the regular CUSA race that Liberty is trying to run away with!

Memphis @ Tulsa | 8:00, ESPN+

While Memphis isn’t an at-large candidate, they’re still very good in the American and will look to get to 5-1 in conference play in Oklahoma against a feisty Tulsa squad!

Cincinnati @ Arizona | 9:00, FS1

Are the Bearcats legit, or was Saturday just a fluke? Tonight may not be a game they have much hope to win, however, if they are competitive and able to keep it close with the Wildcats, that would help boost confidence from fans, coaches and players even further. However, Arizona is ELITE, and 18-0. They’re favored by 14.5, which is less than I was expecting.

Washington @ Nebraska | 9:00, BTN

Nebraska is inching closer and closer to a 1 seed and getting to 19-0 might just do it! Washington is solid, but the Huskers should win. Nebraska favored by 11.5.

Pepperdine @ Gonzaga | 9:00, ESPN+

Gonzaga favored by 29.5 here, and should roll. Bulldogs are a 2 currently.

Northern Iowa @ Illinois State | 9:00, ESPNU

Key matchup in the MVC here! These two are in the middle right now, with Illinois state having a 1 game lead on UNI. Should be close, and low scoring. Ill state favored by 6.5.

Fresno State @ New Mexico | 9:00, CBSSN

Landmine for New Mexico here that they have to avoid.

Virginia Tech @ Syracuse | 9:00, ACCN

Syracuse actually, relatively surprisingly comes into this one favored by 3.5. Virginia Tech is squarely a bubble squad, currently either just in or just out. Cuse is well out, but the Dome is hard to play in.

Mississippi State @ Texas A&M | 9:00, SECN

These two teams are headed in different directions right now, and this is a great opportunity for A&M to take care of the Bulldogs and really help get some footing in the projected field. For Mississippi State, they’re well out of the field, but this would help push them in the right direction.

Utah Tech @ Cal Baptist | 10:00, ESPN+

The WAC has been carnage to start the year. This game brings two 3-3 teams together in a game that really will help decide where the conference race is headed!

Oregon State @ Saint Mary’s | 11:00, CBSSN

How does SMC respond after their loss this weekend? Oregon State is in their crosshairs and SMC is favored by 18.5.

Northwestern @ USC | 11:00, BTN

These trips out west are hard for good teams, however, for bad teams, they offer a chance to get away and just cause chaos… or lose big. Which one will Northwestern show? For USC, Arenas is likely to make his long-awaited debut tonight. USC is favored by 5.5 and is projecting as a 9.

San Diego State @ Grand Canyon | 11:00, FS1

GCU just proved they can beat anyone in Phoenix, and they just took down Utah State. GCU is not a tournament team, but SDSU is projecting as one! SDSU favored by 1.5 in what will be a close matchup!
